Lonely Mountain Top

Lonely Mountain Top

Breath in deep the air crisp and clean
Take in the view beautiful and serene
The air thin suffering inhalation
Witness from above their devastation

You found me here atop my perch
Wondering why I gave up my search
From above I saw nothing worth while
I sat there still and ponder this vile

You see from above there is nothing to gain
To go down below you only cause strain
You climbed up here with me
Now with new vision I see

How do we occupy the same space
What is you gender what is your race
When did you get here
Is this what I truly fear

Am I looking into the eyes of myself
Are you me or am I you
