Pieces of Me

My heart was born when
the DJ dropped that hard beat
and the crowd lost it

We shared a meal and
spoke of possibilities
and my mind found home

My spirit araised
in the blazing fire amongst the
dirty desert people

Inside her heart my
soul found a sanctuary
that was calming and loving
