A Poet in Love

Give me darkness
I'll light a candle
Give me sadness
My tears will fall on the page

Cut into my skin
I'll write crimson words
Shatter my heart
The pieces will be my symphony

Give me a smile
The darkness remains
Give me a hug
The darkness still restrains

Give me a kiss
In this darkness I'll find bliss
Make love to me
Light up my darkness for awhile

Want me and love me
Now the poet has nothing to say
