Driving down the street of life. The engine pumping harder and harder. Contained explosions propelling me forward to an unknown destination. My foot heavy on the pedal. Pushing more fuel into the combustion. The engine roars louder and louder until it grows to a deafening sound. The engine is about to give out. Now is the time!! My foot moves off the gas as my other foot engages the clutch. I firmly grasp the smooth bumpy round ball on top of the stick. I pull down hard with a click. I've only just begun my friends. What you've seen so far was only first gear. I lift my left foot off the clutch and push down hard on the gas with my right foot. Bring on third gear I'm ready.
